About the tour

Piazza Navona is breathtaking, an ancient Roman stadium converted into a square has been decorated with the famous fountains of the 4 river by the Genius of the baroque style, Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Then we will see the church of Saint Agnes, the remains of the old stadium to end our virtual tour inside of the church of Saint Louis of the French. The little chapel located inside of the Church is called the Contarelli’s chapel. There are three Caravaggio paintings hanging in the Contarelli Chapel, painted in the first years of the 1600s and all centered around the life of St. Matthew. Art history lovers - don’t miss this

Sara is an awesome tour guide. She REALLY knows Rome. I adored her tour and she is simply TERRIFIC. She gave us so many wonderful postcard opportunities. I love that she gave us peeks into stores along the way. It felt like I was actually there myself. She is really a wonderful tour guide and took us down so many adorable side streets. Fantastic!

Very much enjoyed Sara's tour, where she sprinkles in historical notes, artistic insights and common day appreciation for all that is Roma, including its cafes, restaurants, shops and gelato.

Great mix of history, art and food! Enjoyed your brief visit with the owner of the art shop; the quaint little corner at the beginning of the tour was also great! Many thanks and cheers from Winnipeg, Canada!
