About the tour

In 1967, Montreal became the host city of the World Fair, called Expo '67, an international event that would put the city on the map. Exceeding all expectations, the event welcomed over 50 million visitors, and would become a huge success. Follow your guide Dave, as he takes you to the area in the city where everything was built almost entirely from scratch for this unique milestone event, and where he will share with you loads of fun stories.

Dave has a love of history and architecture, so he's the perfect guide for me. And I admit it, I was old enough to remember Expo 67 even if I never did get there. But it was fun reliving the past and imagining what it looked like with Dave. Dave's tour included walking along the path throughout the park(s) that were built for the Expo, and then a bike ride on a rental bicycle. He added a different twist to the tour, and had so much information about the event and the construction of Montreal's subway. Who knew it started with the need to have mass transit to the fair, and has since expanded greatly? Love those little surprises, Dave!
