About the tour

"In 1967, Montreal became the host city of the World Fair, called Expo '67, an international event that would put the city on the map. Exceeding all expectations, the event welcomed over 50 million visitors, and would become a huge success. Follow your guide Dave, as he takes you to the area in the city where everything was built almost entirely from scratch for this unique milestone event, and where he will share with you loads of fun stories."

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Montreal with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.

The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Montreal. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.

The majority of your tip goes directly to support the guide’s hard work, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.

Hi Dave. Apologies up front, but I have to give you what I hope you can consider as 'critique constructive'. The picture for us viewers if very shaky throughout the 2 tours i have been on with you, and it's very difficult to watch. You say it is the wind, walking, etc but truthfully all the guides are walking, biking, boating, in the wind and rain and i have not yet experienced that shaky picture until your tours. You've said you are trying to hold it still, I recognize some things are not in your control, but have you considered that perhaps your gimble is not working properly .. defective maybe? Just a thought. Best of luck. I hope you can work it out because otherwise your tours are very goodl. You speak well and clearly and I really enjoy hearing la belle langue française !

Great topic but not a lot too see. Needs some old photos of what was there and talk at each stop. Hard to hear. Staticy. Out of focus near the end
