About the tour

Montmartre has got quite an edge as far as name dropping goes, being able to name Van Gogh and Picasso as past residents! It’s a hotspot for avant-garde art, music, and literature. Located in Paris’ 18th arrondissement, the Butte Montmartre - as it’s fondly called - is home to some of the world’s best monuments. From the Eiffel Tower to the Moulin Rouge and the Sacre Coeur Basilica, Montmartre is one place you shouldn’t miss. It’s filled with cobblestone streets that host an array of artists, musicians, sculptors, writers, architects, and much more! It's impossible to miss the incredible art that's thriving in Montmartre since the 19th century when you’re on this virtual tour. Montmartre’s surprises don’t stop there. The city offers one of the best views of Paris. You’ll spot beautiful Art Nouveau metro entrances and churches, and see works of famous artists like Edgar Degas and Maurice Utrillo. One of the best guided virtual tours in Paris, you’ll also see brightly colored buildings, walk down Rue des Saules, Musée de Montmartre, and explore its existential and rebellious history. You may even stumble into parts that tell stories of the French Revolution! The best part? You'll discover some of the best museums in Paris here. The impressive Sacre Coeur Basilica sits at the summit, and offers a breathtaking view of the rest of the city. Buckle up for a fun Montmartre tour, and try not to spill your drink when we get there!

Meet Florent

It's an understatement to say Florent knows Paris. Born in this wonderful city, Florent says he confidently knows every nook and cranny. Having completed over 2000 tours, we believe him. He's a self-declared history, art, and archaeology fan. What he loves most is sharing the best parts (and secrets) of Paris with you! “In French, if you add two letters to Paris, it becomes Paradis (Paradise in English)” he laughs. And paradise, it truly is. Be it exploring Paris' gastronomical delights or catching an auction, walking along the River Seine (which Florent gallantly swam), exploring spots where Hemingway lived or its sprawling gardens, Florent takes you on an exciting tour through his favorite city. “I love sharing my discoveries, explaining the boisterous history of Paris and showing places that are very hard to find otherwise, and of course getting to know new people every day!” Florent says.

First tour with Florent and looking forward to more. You can certainly tell he loves what he does and told us several great stories and called out so many fun sites. Since he is a photographer he keeps in mind great opportunities for postcards. Looking forward to more.

I have been on this same tour a while ago but this time it was at dusk. The atmosphere was amazing as the light were coming on as we were taken along.
