Join Patrizia as she guides you around the centre of Milan to give you an unexpected insight into a city often known just for its finance and economic achievements, but indeed has in store many beautiful surprises. Over 2600 years of eventful history have left their mark in the architecture as well as in the local culture and everyday life of today. Hear all about Leonardo da Vinci who lived here for 20 years, about La Scala theatre, the super elegant Galleria shopping Arcade and the jaw-dropping Duomo (cathedral). No need to be an art connoisseur to enjoy surfing the architecture styles from the Medieval ages to Art Nouveau, all within walking distance.
Patrizia has literally "travelled the world and the seven seas" like in that famous song of the 80's. With no hesitation, after completing her academic degree in languages and tourism, she also got her Tour Guide certificate. Over the years she has been sailing on tall ship in Thailand, riding the Orient Express to Paris, exploring the Egyptian temples of Luxor, cruising past the glaciers of Argentinian Patagonia, admiring the Aurora Borealis in the Swedish Lapland, visiting wineries in New Zealand... Lately Patrizia has returned to her home country Italy and has been accompanying tours to Rome, Venice, Florence, Cinqueterre, Amalfi Coast to name a few. Then to further her education she got a certificate as Local Guide of Lake Como and Milan. The latter is where she lives but also where she grew up and she is loving sharing her city and its surroundings rich in history, art, but also modern architecture and up-beat events.
