About the tour

We will see an area of the city of Rio de Janeiro that was revitalized between 2014 and 2016, was where the old port was located and today receives up to eight cruises a day in the high season but it is not only about this point that I want to show this place to you. I don't know if you know but the Marvelous city was elected by UNESCO the World Capital of Architecture in 2020 for the architectural diversity of the city. And this area has buildings that helped to enshrine this title, let's take a look at the building of the Museum of Tomorrow, a postmodern, organic and sustainable construction. We will also see in Mauá Square, examples of Colonial, Art Decó, Modern and Eclectic Architectures. All this with a view of the second-largest bay in Brazil, Guanabara Bay, and on top of all that, this area host many graffiti murals, including the world's largest graffiti mural. Let's take a look at the area that mixes nature, architecture, and art? Note: The tour could be rescheduled due to weather conditions.

Enjoyed seeing the new architecture (for Olympics) and the old, side by side. Also enjoyed the street art, especially Ethnicity. A fantastic piece of art, open to all in Rio. Glad to see that the Olympics led to such a change in the port area that it is now so family friendly and used so much by the people.
