People in Maribor are passionate people. They love their women, their football club, their city and especially their wine. They fight for their freedom, take the streets if something doesn't agrees with them and take on the fans of the opposite football club. There are one or two blue eyeballs predestined, but don't worry, at latest in the evening, in the wine cellar, all is forgotten. Where they break out in song, hugs and wine glasses are all around. Join Nina when she introduces this passionate people and their city! We walk along the river Drava, visit the world's oldest vine and learn a lot of interesting facts about Maribor. Maybe we even slip into one of the wine cellars for a sip of that good wine.
Nina is a little weird person with her unique view of the world. She is always smiling she is the almost idealistic optimist who sees the good in people. With more than 12 years in tourism, she has done it all: from kid's animation to destination representation and of course a lot of tourist guiding. Now she is a businesswoman, with an incoming travel agency of her own, and still a passionate tourist guide. The open road and all the people that she meets on the way give her the drive to go further. She has a national tourist guide license and a degree in art history. She is interested in everything that she can discover anew, from yoga to spirituality, nature, photography, video making, cycling, reading, painting, the list goes on. Especially she is passionate about her beautiful home Slovenia which she wants to share with you

I enjoyed having the opportunity to have a look at Maribor, Slovenia's second city, and up until now somewhere I knew very little about. I found the story of the world's oldest wine particularly interesting, and also enjoyed hearing about some of the historic buildings around the main square in the city centre. Thanks to Nina for sharing her time and local knowledge with those who took part in today's tour.
