About the tour

A picturesque and very handsome garden was built in 1873 for one of the last Prices of the Qajar Dynasty. Nine gardens in Iran are UNESCO heritage and none of them looks like the other one. The oldest one dates back to 6th century BC built for Cyrus the Great. The Persian garden was conceived to symbolize Eden and the four Zoroastrian elements of sky, earth, water and plants. In this tour we are going to enjoy an outstanding layout of Prince garden, its beautiful arrangement of trees and plants, irrigating system and terrace fountains and splendid pavilion with stained glass lactic windows. A very extraordinary feature of this garden is that it like a green jewel in a bare desert of Kerman.

Magical to see a green garden in the middle of the desert, with what seemed a great water supply from surrounding mountains. What brilliant architects and engineers centuries ago. Respect.
