About the tour

The Maasai (/ˈmɑːsaɪ, mɑːˈsaɪ/) are a Nilotic ethnic group inhabiting northern, central and southern Kenya and northern Tanzania. They are among the best known local populations internationally due to their residence near the many game parks of the African Great Lakes, and their distinctive customs and dress.

Meet Mufasa

Mufasa

Bahati is an excellent guide in Tanzania - he sends us to amazing places for the experiences of a lifetime - whether it be visiting a Massai Village in the bush, seeing amazing history in Zanzibar including hand carved doorways, beautiful scents and colors of the spice market on the ""Spice Island"", swimming with the dolphins and finishing with a local fresh caught fish and chips dinner... He is the master at finding wildlife in the Ngorogoro Crater and giving me the experience of driving the land rover through the Serengeti with the wildebeast and zebra crisscrossing the road in front of us.... he loves telling us about the birds we spot along the way and amuses with stories of the areas we are seeing. I'm looking forward to the experiences he will be adding to HeyGo/Virtual Tours!!!-- Karibu Tanzania.

Having seen the Maasai at a distance when visiting Kenya some years ago, this tour was a wonderful introduction to their way of life. Such friendly and inviting people, who welcomed us with their traditional jumping and dancing before allowing us into their village and also to see into their homes. We saw how they made fire, what they cooked and ate and the jobs that they do. What a privilege and what truly lovely people they are. Thank you Mufasa for taking us to meet these beautiful people.
