London - London Way Of Death

London Way Of Death

Smithfield Market, London, United Kingdom
40 mins

About the tour

The city of London is of the most haunted places in Europe. If you think you found yourself a nice little green square for a picnic in central London, think twice, you are probably sitting on a medieval plague pit. Nathalie will take you to the scariest spot in the City like the Smithfield Market, famous for wife selling and public executions. You will learn how in the 19th the dead started killing the living, witch lead to the burial act and the creation of beautiful Victorian necropolis outside of the city... Please note this tour is not for the faint-hearted or very young ones.

Meet your local guide

Originally from France, Nathalie moved to London in 2008 and fell in love with the city. Her public speaking did not actually start with tour guiding but with performing stand up comedy. Until one day a comedian friend of hers told her she should try tour guiding -and she absolutely loves it! She is always looking for the funny side of History and London is packed with incredible anecdotes!

Nathalie has been guiding since Dec 2016

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to London with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.

The tour will last about 40 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from London. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.

Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.
