About the tour

Join me in my psychedelic shuttle bus outside the Royal Albert Hall where we start this tour of era defining social, fashion and music locations along the King's Road in Chelsea - the beating heart of Swinging London. You'll hear about the post-war austerity and the cultural revolution that soon followed, giving rise to an explosion of jazz, skiffle, folk and blues, the birth of rock 'n' roll... and the creation of the mini skirt. Music, with original 60s jingles supplied by Radio Caroline, is included on this tour, which ends outside the squalid flat that The Rolling Stones shared 1962.

Meet your local guide

Paul

Paul has been a Richmond resident and semi-pro musician for over 40 years. A recent review summed him up perfectly; “I feel like I know Paul Endacott because he's not just a tour guide, he's a talisman or an apostle of those amazing times in London that I want to know and see more of. He doesn't read from a pre-written script, he speaks from his past, his gut and most of all from his heart. I can feel, hear and see the love, the memories, and the music oozing from his rock ‘n’ roll heart and soul.”

Paul has been guiding since Jun 2015

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to London with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.

The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from London. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.

Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.
