About the tour

In this tour, your guide Arian will tell you about history of the Golestan Palace as we walk together in the small beautiful garden which is surrounded by walls covered with colourful tiles. The Golestan Palace is the former royal Qajar complex in Iran's capital city, Tehran. One of the oldest historic monuments in the city of Tehran, and of world heritage status. In the south of Golestan Garden there is a tall building. Due to the high wind catchers above it, this building is known as the Wind Catcher Hall. This building was very important and usually the cabinet held the meetings there. Arian will also bring you inside the building of the wind catchers to learn more about it.

Meet Arian Mansouri

Arian Mansouri

Arian graduated as a chemical engineer in 1992 and after twenty years working in this field , she came to the conclusion that she could serve her country as a tour guide much more better than an engineer! So she enrolled in a tourism institute and started a new life. She found that she should have chosen it at the start and voila here she is.Arian is a member of WFTGA ""world federation of tourist guide association"" and during the convention 2017 in which Iran was the host of more than 300 tourist guides from different countries, Arian was one of the volunteer tour managers. She has experience with European tourists in Iran and Iranians tourists in Europe as well.

I love Arian's tours - I learn so much and love seeing the intricate craftmanship of the palaces, carvings, tile & mirror work, etc. I really want to visit Iran because of her tours.
