About the tour

Sri Lanka former "Ceylon" is one of the largest tea Producer and an exporter, while maintaining the reputation of being the best quality tea producer in the world. The ideal rainfall, perfect elevation, humidity and the cooler temperature makes the central highland of Sri Lanka as the most suitable place for growing tea. Over a decade and half, tea has become the major plantation agricultural crop since Mr. James Tailor the British planter introduced tea for the Sri Lankan soil. Covering over 4% of total land areas tea industry is employing over 01 million employs directly and indirectly. In this tea tour, we will walk to a small tea plantation and will visit a tea factory to learn about the manufacturing process of Ceylon tea. From tea picking to the entire process of tea production up to packing will see with full details in a working factory. Age old manufacturing practices and the culture behind tea will be brought to you while explaining the different between the black, white and green tea. Please join with me to discover about the best tea in the World, in the Beautiful island of Sri Lanka.

Dilip Fernando or Dilee as his friends call him, is a professional National tourist guide in Sri Lanka. he studied travel tourism and hotel management in University of Colombo. Being an outdoor person, guiding is his passion. He is a nature lover, bike rider as well as a hiker. he love to find out the history of the island and meet the locals in his tours, as he consider the local people as the main highlight of the country. join him to explore this little topical island with excitements, entertainment and fun.


What to expect

Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Kandy with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.

The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Kandy. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
