The traditional Sardinian folk dances have been handed down orally for generations and are currently one of the richest and most interesting dances in Mediterranean Europe. Since the first time I saw these dances I was amazed by their originality, something authentic and ancestral was hiding behind those rhythmic and unique movements that characterize the folk dances of Sardinia. The costumes that were worn have brought me back to those ancient times and they gave me a feeling of nostalgia for those times gone by and never lived. It is believed that The Sardinian folk dance may derive from prehistoric sacred ceremonies celebrated to propitiate an abundant hunting or a good harvest and that it represented not only entertainment but was also the expression of a community. On this tour, we will see an original Sardinian folk band playing and singing exclusively for us, a unique opportunity to discover this ancient and wonderful tradition. If you like the idea of taking this leap in time with us, make yourself comfortable, relax and make sure you connect in time!
