Mom and daughter together, in the comfort of their house, preparing only for you some of the most famous (and easy, always easy!) of Portuguese dishes. Or perhaps occasionally in the kitchen of one of our neighbours, friends or relatives, but always intimate and cosy. Every time something different and yummy, from codfish to meat, soups to desserts, whatever is on the menu that day. We invite you into our house and lives as our guest, to learn more about the national gastronomic traditions, in the most informal and laid-back way possible. Don't people say food is one of the best ways to learn about the soul of a country?!
Sara has being working in Tourism since 2007 and became a Certified Guide in 2018. After working as a Lawyer, Economics teacher, Musical Public Relations and in the Port Wine Cellars, she found her true calling in Professional Guiding. And didn't hesitate to change her life to follow her heart and reach that goal! A passionate traveller herself, she gathered all of this vast professional experience to give a different twist and create city tours she would like to be part of! Living in Porto forever, you'll see the city in the perspective of a true local, that finds personal memories in every story, sight, colour or smell of this city she embraced as hers. She wants to take you by the hand and make you fall in love with this ancient UNESCO World Heritage gem. Meet its proud people and unique soul: after all, the city that gave Portugal its name!
Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Porto with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.
The tour will last about 60 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Porto. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.
The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.

The cooking is great but the interaction is the best, they are funny and sarcastic together, so whatever the food I'll be keeping an eye on future cooking shows😉
