About the tour

Mont-Saint-Michel is unique in that it is built on a rocky islet, surrounded by a magnificent bay, the scene of the highest tides in continental Europe. The Mont and its bay are classified as a Unesco World Heritage Site. It is one of the most visited sites in France. There is still a rivalry between Brittany and Normandy, the legend explains that it is the Couesnon, the river that flows into the bay that would have put the Mont in Normandy. So come with me to the reconquest of the mount for the kingdom of Brittany :) We will see the whole of the mount and walk through the streets. WE DON'T VISIT THE ABBEY

Meet Patrick Herpe

Patrick Herpe

Patrick isn't one to shy away from travel and adventure. "I was lucky enough to travel the world with my job, discover different cultures, and meet incredible people!" he says, after having explored multiple cities across Europe and Asia. On his tours, you may catch more than a surprise or two about Paris. "In fact, it is an everyday experience. I'm a native Parisian, but every day, I continue to discover new things, new secrets about Paris. It's a never-ending story," he laughs. It was his love for Paris that led him to become a guide. "I'm a father and a teacher, and I realized that my passion was to share my knowledge, so I decided to be a guide about one of my passion: Paris!" Patrick chips in. "I enjoy sharing the love and passion I have for my own city, Paris. Its monuments, its history, its gastronomy, its culture, and all of its little secrets. I can't wait to share all of these with you!" "At the end of my tour I always give a virtual bise - two in fact being a good Parisian!" he laughs.

Patrick provided a detailed trip up the walkways of Le Mont-Saint-Michel. As always, his humor and excellent descriptions enhanced the site's beauty.

Fascinating walk around ancient streets and buildings. I enjoyed all the architectural details and angles. I would have liked a little longer time at certain features, like the archway with the pointed iron gate that could be drawn down-a pic would've been nice, or stopping for tree-framed views of the abbey at the top. Great place to visit! And a lot of effort to climb all those stairs!!
