About the tour

On a guided virtual tour of Le Marais, you’ll get to explore one of the best-preserved areas of Paris and see why Parisians cherish this trendy and hip district. Located on the Right Bank, Le Marais used to be the home of France's noble families in the 17th and 18th centuries before they were forced to leave during the French Revolution. Today, it celebrates Parisian art and history and is close to the Centre Pompidou, Europe’s largest museum for modern art. You'll see some of the best art galleries in Paris on this walking tour with Florent, as you stroll along the Marais district’s string of high-end boutiques and incredible art collections. Even better, you'll get to explore the incredible Jewish Quarter in Paris and see the beautiful Musée Carnavalet! If you’re lucky, you might spot the beautiful Rue des Rosiers filled with rosebushes, or see the Picasso Museum in Le Marais. The area was one of the city’s poorest neighborhoods, but since the 1950s, it has transformed into a melting pot of culture, couture, and lifestyle. During the guided virtual tour, you may get to see some of Le Marais’ popular attractions - be it a visit to Paris’ best fashion boutiques, a walk down ancient Rue du Temple, or La Place Des Vosges, the oldest planned square in the city. Join us as we walk by French pavilions, and hear centuries' old stories that will transport you through France's history.

Meet Florent

Florent

It's an understatement to say Florent knows Paris. Born in this wonderful city, Florent says he confidently knows every nook and cranny. Having completed over 2000 tours, we believe him. He's a self-declared history, art, and archaeology fan. What he loves most is sharing the best parts (and secrets) of Paris with you! “In French, if you add two letters to Paris, it becomes Paradis (Paradise in English)” he laughs. And paradise, it truly is. Be it exploring Paris' gastronomical delights or catching an auction, walking along the River Seine (which Florent gallantly swam), exploring spots where Hemingway lived or its sprawling gardens, Florent takes you on an exciting tour through his favorite city. “I love sharing my discoveries, explaining the boisterous history of Paris and showing places that are very hard to find otherwise, and of course getting to know new people every day!” Florent says.
