Cooking is an art-form that involves more than choosing the finest local produce; the best includes the flavor, history, and culture of a people. For this series of gastronomical tours, I invite you to visit innovative restaurants, private kitchens, and out-of-the-way food markets for an up-close look at Colombian cooks doing great and yummy work. As we say in Colombia, "¡Barriga llena, corazón contento!" ("Full belly, happy heart!").

Santi is a natural traveler and always curious about other culture's lifestyle, respectful of differences and a nature lover. Being a professional in Architecture and a Certified Tour Guide, he mixes his passion for art, design, nature, history and urbanism during his tours while walking the streets of a city or a path in the mountains of his beloved Colombia. What to expect

Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Medellín with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.

The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Medellín. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.


Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.

The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.

Such a delicious tour ... and my lunch hour falls exactly at the same time as lunch in Colombia! This always happens ... Santi showed us all the ingredients for his super-savory typically Antioquian bandeja paisa at this wonderful restaurant, this time filled with vegetarian ingredients instead of the meat: beans, lentils and peas, corn arepas, a whole double-fried plantain covered with a creamy mushroom sauce, and accompanying salad. I'm sure I've left something out but I can't deny that I wished I were there to eat this meal fit for a king! Do not miss Santi's gastronomy tours but be prepared to be jealous lol! :)

I live for food, I must say, and so it was such a pleasure to see so many people cooking such marvellous, traditional, tasty (i assume!) and varied concoctions. Santi was great at creating a very relaxed, friendly atmosphere for everyone, and so when he sat down to eat at the end it was like we were all with him - except I looked up from my phone and there was no food in front of me! Oh well, I hit the kitchen and the cooker feeling hungry, inspired and happy. Thanks Santi!
