La Spezia, the second biggest city of Liguria with almost 200.000 inhabitants, is still nowadays undiscovered by most of the people. Considered only a military city and important commercial port, its tourist side was completely ignored and abandoned from centuries. When I first moved here 20 years ago, I was impressed by its beauty, seaside promenades, liberty style palaces, uniques museums like the first Naval Museum of the word, the seal museum, the Saint George Castle Museum, and also the local history museum. The local Market square is just amazing, fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, meat, honey, diary products and all kind of local produce straight from the farm to your house, that is the typical italian Bazar even if nobody shouts! Today I would like to focus our promenade on the Sea and the importance of La Spezia as Port and Military Arsenal and if possible the Naval Museum, during our walk you will discover the charme of this city, surrounded by hills and from where you can see the bordes with Tuscany and Emilia Romagna.
More than 20 years in tourism made our guide Emilia very familiar with all that concern tourism and tourist. She's a passionate of local culture, history, food, good wine and photography and her goal is to share with you all her knowledge about the amazing area of Cinque Terre so famous and well known everywhere in the world but also so tied to the past as well.
Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Cinque Terre & Portovenere with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.
The tour will last about 50 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Cinque Terre & Portovenere. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.
The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.

Sorry, not enough to see in La Spezia. I liked the villages of the Cinque terre better. However, the guide was great...pleasant and well informed.

I love Emilia tours but I was a little disappointed with this one. I felt it was a bit rushed, there were nice things to look at along the way such as anchors, cannons, other battery items, on the promade and on the way to the museum, but we didn't get to see them as Emilia was walking and talking quite fast today. There was so much she could have paused at for a few seconds between the promenade and the museum that she walked straight past, that im sure would have been of interest to lots of people on the tour as well as me. I've taken emikoaa other tours and they are all relaxing, enjoyable tours and she stops plenty and points out lots of points of interest, but sadly not so on this tour.
