About the tour

One more village of the island of Korčula to step into is Žrnovo. Divided in four neighbourhoods it has an interesting architecture of narrow stone streets (just wide enough for a car, if you're lucky), stone buildings on the hill, people still living off their land, and having sheep and goats kept in small stone cattle houses. It's a place where you should go if you just want to - slow it all down. Today Andrea will take you to visit the Marović ladies , Diana and Jelena, enthusiasts in love with the island and its heritage and owners of a private ecological farm. They are situated in the first part of the village in a traditional stone house just besides what use to be the center of the village where main festivities used to be held. Various awards and recognitions guarantee high quality of their products. Their offer starts with fresh fruits and vegetables, organic extra virgin olive oil, Rakia, liqueurs, vermouth, homemade marmalades & jams, herbal tea, traditional salty delicacies, traditional desserts, natural cosmetics, aromatic decorative plants . In a very local, homy and cosy ambience join Andrea and learn how homemade marmelade is done in this part of the world .Yummy !
