About the tour

The Iveagh Gardens, designed by Ninian Niven in 1865, is one of Dublin's hidden gardens wedged between Earlsfort Terrace and Harcourt Street, this area is close to St Stephen's Green and there is much history to explore here along with lots of statues, busts, and monuments. This oasis of tranquillity and beauty can justly claim to be the capital’s best-kept secret! On this tour, we'll also explore Earlsfort Terrace, a new vibrant urban plaza at the heart of Dublin's business and cultural district overlooking the iconic National Concert Hall. We'll also head to Harcourt Street, and discover the fascinating history behind one of the most historic streets of Dublin. Join me today in discovering not only the finest but least known, of Dublin’s parks and gardens but much about Dublin and Ireland 's history

Meet Dave Kavanagh

Dave Kavanagh

Dave is a native of Dublin and has worked as a tour guide in Dublin for the last 2 years, his previous profession was in sales and marketing and he certainly has the gift of the gab. He lived in the U.S for 25 years and on his return to Dublin he found that there was a lot about his city that was previously unknown to him, so he set about getting reacquainted with all things Dublin, its culture, history, and its people along with all its famous landmarks. Dave's passion is tour guiding and showing off Dublin's fair city to visitors. He is the owner of Dublin Rogues Tour a walking tour set in Merrion Square, Dublin showcasing Irish writers, artists, politicians, rebels, and freedom fighters.

Dave brought us to a lesser known part of Dublin city today. Great information and postcard moments. It's a place that I will have to go visit in person after seeing it on tour!
