Holiday guide to Venice This is not an history or an art tour, but it will be a bespoke walk around Venice, each time different, according to changing needs of participants. I’ll show you the city in that specific moment, I’ll be stopping here and there (but most of all in the best and most scenic places) so you will be able to take wonderful pictures. While I will be walking around, I will talk about different and useful issues, such as: - how to plan your holiday in Venice ; - where to stay ; - how to catch a “vaporetto” ( local public boat) ; - answer to your questions ; - best way to go from Piazzale Roma to the airport ; - best way to tour the city ; - hints about Venice ; - best view points ; - local food and where to find it Just don’t put all the questions at the same time .. I’ll need a little bit of time to answer, but little by little I’ll answer to all of them, being exhaustive with all of you. This will be a new experience to get more familiar with the city and make each of your question answered. This will be a Q&A walking tour about any subject in Venice. There won’t be a common thread, the whole tour will be around your own question. This will be a tour to all who are planning to come to Venice, doesn’t matter if it will be your first time or if you are already regular in Venice. Looking forward to release a new format to the travellers.
I’m Igor (that’s pronounced ee-gor, in case you are wondering!) and although you may not think it’s an Italian name, I am 100% Italian. I grew up in this area, between Treviso and Venice and I’m incredibly passionate about my region and 2 cities. I studied tourism, in Italy we have a special type of high school dedicated to tourism, and languages and I have been working in this sector since I graduated. I started in a hotel near Venice, then moved to one in London, which was an amazing experience. When I came back to Italy, I moved to with Globus and travelled all over Europe, from Portugal to Russia and the North Cape to Greece. Seeing so many places was great and I learned a lot meeting people from all over the world. In 2007, my grand tour ended, and I came home to Venice, where I qualified to work as a guide in the Veneto region (yes, in Italy you need a licence to work as a guide). I love taking my guests around this wonderful region, showing them all the fantastic treasures we have here. Whether you would like a tour of Venice, or a tailored, escorted experience with hotels, transfers and visits, let me be your Venetian expert! If you have questions you’d like answered or have no idea where to start planning your trip, get in touch with me and I will help you with suggestions, hints and bookings. I’ve been listed in Rick Steves’ guides to Venice, Italy and Europe since 2008, so I must be doing something right.
Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Venice with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.
The tour will last about 40 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Venice. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.
The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.

I find every day practical information as fascinating as all the historical facts of Venice. Igor shows us the beauty we all want to see, but also how life in Venice looks on regular basis (food delivery boats, police boats, funeral boats..) He opened my eyes on so many things I didn’t pay attention to before. And then also practical advice how to get to your hotel from the airport, all the possible options and what to avoid and pay attention to. I love every tour with Igor, he’s great!
