About the tour

Join your guide to embark on a journey through the marvelous walled town of Dubrovnik. Old town Dubrovnik, or just “The Old town” as locals call it, is a beautifully preserved architectural and historical jewel of Adriatic. On our walk we will see the most famous street of the town, Stradun (Placa), the town’s first pharmacy, first running water system, narrow streets, old harbor and all other most important towns buildings. The whole walk will be like one big moving postcard, as the beauty of the town will blow your mind.

Meet your local guide

Nikola has been a full-time tour guide since 2006, straight out of school and college. Sports - particularly basketball - are a big part of his life. He enjoys playing a good game of water polo, one of Dubrovnik’s popular sports. His tours offer interesting tidbits and fun stories that amuse travelers. “We may say that Dubrovnik invented the word Quarantine, as this was the first town where someone had to wait for 40 days (Quaranta in Italian is 40) in a designated area before they were allowed to enter!” he says. Living in both a very touristic country and a famous sports country means he has the best of both worlds! He's truly a 'people person.’ He enjoys interacting with people from different parts of the world every day and traveling for business. Introducing you to some delicious food and drinks, and seeing the smile on your face at the end of the tour is something he’s looking forward to!

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Dubrovnik with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.

The tour will last about 60 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Dubrovnik. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.

Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.

Such a great guide who made the past come alive. So few people about where usually there are crowds that Nikola was able to tell us so much of the history and the way of life, as well as making sure we got good picture opportunities. Will certainly be looking out for another of Nikola' s tours.

Never having been to Dubrovnik it did give me an insight in to what it is like in the old town. Will be ingested to see inside some of the buildings.
