About the tour

After the Ottomans made Istanbul the capital of the empire, they built many bazaars in the heart of the city in order to turn the city into a trade center as well. In a traditional Turkish market system, certain sectors used to gather in certain places. Thus, every sector's stock market formed in there. And today, this system continues with only minor changes. In this tour, we will visit the historical book market, the famous historical Grand Bazaar, Mahmutpaşa Street, where the local people shop for marriage preparations, and the Spice Bazaar where we will experience different tastes of the orient.

I found the Turkish respect for marriage to be very romantic. It is nice to know that somewhere in the world there are families that support a marriage in every way they can. Very nice.
