A lot of art can be seen in our museums, but there is also a lot to see on the street. In this tour, we will look for fun and funny street art in the center of Amsterdam. Paintings, graffiti, and sculptures there is a lot to discover! Among other things, we are looking for a number of artworks by Streetart Frankey. He is known as a street artist who places funny and creative creations in unexpected places in the city. But we also see works by other artists like the London Police and the Flowerbikeman. We will some interesting stories of the relationship of Amsterdam with art. Are you ready to explore street art in the heart of Amsterdam?
Stephan is a real Dutchie, he was born in Delft (the city of Vermeer), grown up in Gouda (the cheese city), studied in Leiden (city of Rembrandt) and he lived in Rotterdam (the harbour city) before moving to our capital Amsterdam in 2006. After a career in technology as an Online Strategist, he decided to leave behind the corporate world to start guiding visitors of Amsterdam and started his own private tour agency, Amsterdam Experiences. That’s when he discovered that walking and cycling around the city with international visitors is a lot more fun than a desk job! As a guide, Stephan loves to show his virtual guests the hidden gems of Amsterdam through the eyes of a local. He has a passion for telling stories about Dutch history and culture. Stephan is very enthusiastic about the Netherlands and also guides tours in Delft, Utrecht, Rotterdam, Gouda, Leiden and Den Hague. Stephan’s tours cover a wide range of topics, whether that be sensitively tackling difficult subjects, such as Anne Frank and Jewish history of Amsterdam. However, he is equally comfortable being spontaneous, whether visiting goats in a goat farm to riding his orange flowerbike around with the flowerbike man himself. Stephan also now has tours in Belgium, covering Antwerp, Bruges and Ghent. So join him on the bike or by foot, and see the highlights of the Netherlands or even perhaps Belgium.

Had to leave early because of domestic crisis but what I saw was excellent. Street art we wouldn't usually see.
