About the tour

Join me on this epic voyage as I set out to summit one of Scotland's most iconic mountains: The Pap of Glencoe. At 742 metres above sea level (2434 feet), this is by no means Scotland's highest mountain. What is boasts, however, are magnificent views across mountain and sea for miles in every direction. The tour will start some 200 metres below the summit, and I will take you - nestled safely in my rucksack - up the final steep and rocky steps to enjoy the breath-taking views below. Along the way you will learn more about the fragile plants and mountain eco-system and I will share with you the processes that created this incredible landscape. On the summit there will be time to reflect and enjoy the scenery. And it simply wouldn't be a trip to the Highlands without a few historical yarns and the odd myth and legend tale thrown in for good measure. So get your sturdiest boots on, pack the warmer of your hats and I'll meet you in the glen

Meet Craig

Craig lives in Ballachulish, on the west coast of Scotland. He can be found exploring the mountains and glens, hill walking or mountain biking. He loves Scotland’s wild places, its rugged coastlines and soaring peaks. But his real passion lies in the long, intricate and often bloody history for which Scotland is famous and he loves nothing more than sharing this passion with all who join him on his travels. Loaded with stories – both humorous and fascinating – a tour with Craig is both rewarding and fun.

Beautiful tour with Craig as usual with amazing views over the highlands of bonny Scotland along with some folk tales of the area. Would highly recommend Craig’s tours.
