About the tour

This adventure with Igor will take place in Baixa-Chiado. It is a famous area in the historical center with a lot of monuments and museums to Visit. He will take you to see the oldest Portuguese stores selling the traditional liqueur Ginjinha. If you want a boost of energy to go uphill, Ginjinha is the best recipe! After you will learn about Lisbon's Jewish Roots and the chase in 1506, we will pass by some old Restaurants selling our typical tapas like Codfish Cake, Bifana, etc. Don't forget to bring snacks with you as you will probably get quite hungry! Crossing Rossio square, you will see a stunning example of Portuguese typical sidewalk art called Calçada Portugues. Turning uphill to Largo do Carmo and fuelled with energy, we will arrive at one of the best iron constructions in Portugal. The Santa Justa Lift is considered one of the oldest lifts in the world. Not only is the construction amazing, but the viewpoint on the top is mesmerising. This will bring to a close this wonderful virtual trip!

A good tour spoilt occasionally by bad connection at Igors end and sometime blurry vision. Also would prefer difficult names of streets and artists etc. to be spelt out or put onto screen for those of us who are not portuguese.
