What makes Versailles so beautiful? Garden lovers will know it's all down to the immaculate and spectacular fountains, topiaries and statutes that make up the 2000+ acres of this famous royal estate. On this tour we’re going to pick out the most iconic sights and tales to delight the passionate horticulturalists and history lovers among you. Luckily for us we are spoilt for choice with over 55 fountains, 600 water features, 155 statues and legendary stories stretching back centuries to choose from! Our local expert, Florent, will take us to see the likes of the grand canal, the Orangery (pictured above) and a number of secret groves in-between. We hope you're ready for an amazing live-streamed visit.
It's an understatement to say Florent knows Paris. Born in this wonderful city, Florent says he confidently knows every nook and cranny. Having completed over 2000 tours, we believe him. He's a self-declared history, art, and archaeology fan. What he loves most is sharing the best parts (and secrets) of Paris with you! “In French, if you add two letters to Paris, it becomes Paradis (Paradise in English)” he laughs. And paradise, it truly is. Be it exploring Paris' gastronomical delights or catching an auction, walking along the River Seine (which Florent gallantly swam), exploring spots where Hemingway lived or its sprawling gardens, Florent takes you on an exciting tour through his favorite city. “I love sharing my discoveries, explaining the boisterous history of Paris and showing places that are very hard to find otherwise, and of course getting to know new people every day!” Florent says.
Florent has been guiding since Aug 2010
Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Paris with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.
The tour will last about 30 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Paris. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.
Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.

Enjoyed Florent’s tour immensely. He is extremely well informed of the location and it’s history.

Florent walked us through a little of the gardens of Versailles. There was weak WiFi in the orangery so the picture quality was poor until he walked up the staircase. Only saw two of the four statue/fountains of the major rivers of France. Could not see the frogs and turtles in the lower fountain very well. He was very knowledgeable and informative, and I would take a live tour with him when possible.

Delightful to listen to his talk. Unfortunately rain dimmed the view a bit and flowers were not planted due to Covid19 situation I chose to watch on my Kindle which was not a good decision. Will use my laptop for future tours.
