Very interesting and informative tour of the Mosque of Halil-ur-Rahman and the Abraham's Pool. According to some Muslim sources, Urfa is Ur Kasdim, the hometown of Abraham. Following the tradition, Nimrod had Abraham immolated on a funeral pyre, but God turned the fire into water and the burning coals into fish. The pool of sacred fish (Abraham's Pool) remains to this day. We could see people praying in the cave where Abraham is said to have been born, visitors feeding the sacred fish, and even more, we could hear a prayer. I have learned a lot about a different culture and religion in this tour that I highly recommend. Thank you, Salih!
