Folklor evenings are starting with summer season. Andrea is taking you tonight to Lumbarda where the cultural association „Ivo Lozica“ will be performing . They will present to you folklor dances from croatian reagions of Korcula and Dubrovnik. The folklor group will be accompanied by the brass band and during the breaks of the dancers either an A Cappella group will perform either the brass band will fill up the gaps till next dance is ready to start. Lumbarda folk music was founded in 1929 at the instigation of Dr. Baldo Cviličević, and under the direction of the longtime chaplain Aloiz Skrepek. For many years it was the most important expression of cultural activity in the place and many generations of musicians have passed through it. In 1979, a folklore section was founded and together with the music, the Koludrt klapa and the drama group, they united in the KUD "Ivo Lozica". Join Andrea and enjoy their performance in the center of the village.
