India is a peaceful country where people have been practicing meditation for decades, the oldest documented evidence of the practice of meditation are wall arts in the Indian Subcontinent from approximately 5,000 to 3,500 BCE but the lesser-known fact is that Art ia also an act of Meditation wherein people from all across India are practicing meditation from decades through different Art Forms. We as human beings are also seeking mental peace and an escape from our daily busy lives where we could just sit back and feel grateful about this beautiful life and take out some time for ourselves. I have been practising creating Mandala's, an Art form used for Meditation which has helped me reduced my anxiety, self awareness and feel peace on my busy days. In this small session, I would be sharing how to create this art form along with different Indian art forms with the help of activities, as simple as breathing in a rhythm while drawing which will help you feel good. The Best thing about creating this art form along with me is that you do not have to be an artist to create your personalised Mandala! It's all about the experience of creating and expereincing the theraputic effects of Mandala and not thinking about what the outcome would be. To create this art form along with me, you would need : •Drawing Sheet •Pen •Pencil •Eraser •Sharpner •Compass •Protractor •Colours (optional Get ready for a therapeutic experience with your tour guide and Mandala expert, Pallavi who would help you to change your perceptions about creating art and share some tricks to engage yourself physically and mentally.

Lovely sesion. We were introduced to a meditative drawing style that I had not tried before and I found it really calming & relaxing. I will carry on developing this method of drawing/making symmetrical patterns in my own time.

We did a breathing exercise at the beginning of today’s session which really helped me to get into the zone . I was aware of it being my parents’ 75th wedding anniversary, so I was thinking about them all the while I was creating. Sadly they only spent 13 years together as my father died young. I loved making this mandala thinking about them somehow being together today to celebrate this event. I was so immersed that I continued on enlarging it after the session. Thanks again Pallavi 💜This was definitely a healing session for me today.

I'm learning so much from joining Pallavi in creating different art forms. She also gives us a talk on the local culture, which is fascinating ❤❤❤❤
