About the tour

The coastline across Southern Vancouver Island is Juan de Fuca strait, an urban bird sanctuary and a place to behold the amazing, snow-capped Olympic mountains across the water from Victoria, BC. Join me on this seaside walk. Each tour will be unique, we may stop at Mile 0, where 8,000 KM Trans-Canada Highway begins (or ends), or walk on the Break Water wall, or see the tallest Totem Poll in the world. Wherever we explore that day, the views are breath-taking, the stories of navigation and of the island's geological history, fascinating.

Elizabeth made my day! She took us on a pleasant walk along the ocean through verdant fields with colorful wildflowers in bloom and all the while feeding us tidbits of interesting information and history about the Salish people who once lived there. Very absorbing and totally relaxing. I highly recommend spending time with Elizabeth on any of her tours.

Nice woman. Thought that the information given was a little light. Perhaps when she was talking about the flowers there could have been more detail. When she approach the sign she thought was for the swimmer it was not the correct marker. Additional basic knowledge of the distance to the US would have made her more credible. The show was on the Juan de Fuca. Knowledge of geographical facts would have made this more credible. The twinning of Morioka, Japan is something that could have been researched. I am sorry that I didn't feel great about this walk. I know it isn't easy to do a walk like this, but a "trial" walk before would probably made this trip more successful. I only lasted a short time out of frustration. I did not rate the guide as I think that her knowledge could lead to a better review.
