About the tour

** Disclaimer - you may encounter snakes, spiders, wasps, and other insects on this tour ** Immerse yourself in the Australian wilderness from the comfort of your home! Together we will explore the hidden natural treasures in the valleys that surround Sydney. Learn about our native plants and animals, discover amazing sculptured cliffs and caves that locals don’t know about. Join me on an hour-long hike through Sydney's hidden and stunning natural environment. There are no people where we are going, just plants and animals in a beautiful and dramatic landscape. "You won’t be bitten or stung on our walk, but perhaps I will!" - Matt **As this is a nature tour and not a zoo tour, there is no guarantee that wild animals will be seen - it's up to the animals. ** **Please note: This is a nature tour, so the itinerary can change due to adverse weather and environmental conditions. I rarely cancel and prefer to instead change my route.**

Meet Matt

Matt

Matt is a born and bred Sydney local, passionate about Australia's natural landscapes, flora and fauna. He has spent his life discovering and sharing the hidden jewels in the bushland of Sydney. Having hitchhiked around Australia as a teen for 14 months, with a 30-year career as a video producer and documentary maker, he knows a lot about the land down under. Now a full-time professional nature and wildlife tour guide, Matt is the real deal and will have you laughing along your whole trip. After a tour with Matt, many describe their experience as akin to travelling with a long-lost Australian cousin.

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Sydney with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.

The tour will last about 60 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Sydney. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.

The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.

Great fun as always, Matt. I am sorry that was your last tour as we will miss you. I hope you know how much light you brought us during the long, dark winter of lockdown in the UK. Good luck with your future ventures.
