About the tour

To our Muslim travelers Kul Sana Wa'Intum Salmin! for Eid Al-Adha Al-Mubarak This is not a tour but a presentation of the Muslim quarter of Jerusalem that I will broadcast on the Heygo platform. Using different visual aids like pictures, videos, and google earth - we will tell the story of Islam and the Muslim Quarter in Jerusalem - Al-Quds. Due to the low signal in this part of the city, I decided to try something different and I hope you will like it! *This is an experiment and I will be happy that you will share your honest opinion about it. *If you are nice I will show you the view from my balcony...

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Jerusalem with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.

The tour will last about 30 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Jerusalem. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.

The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.

This was an extremely well planed and delivered tour, as are all of Itamar’s tours. It offered as much, if not more than a walking tour, because the signal did not drop at any point, unlike walking tours where the signal is temperamental. In this tour, Itamar demonstrated his creativity and sophisticated skills of delivering a tour in the most stimulating way. Well done Itamar 👏 👏 👏

While labelled an experiment it gave the audience no incline of what to expect. This lead to questions being asked that were supposedly off topic, while many didn’t know what the topic was. Itamars does wonderful tours, full of useful information and supporting documentation… and I think when this tour is properly defined not just called ‘experiment’ it will do increadibly well… as it deserves.

This was a very different tour compared to Itamar’s regular location based ones but I have to say I found it equally enjoyable and very educational. At times you forgot Itamar was actually sitting at home conducting it as it felt like you were there in multiple locations with him. We also saw terrific videos from inside mosques that we wouldn’t be able to visit ordinarily. Overall this was a success and felt far from experimental. Hopefully Itamar will do more of these style tours.
