I live in a forest on top of a hill, in the middle of almost nowhere and it is not surprising there is not enough connection near my house. But everybody in a range of 10km is considered a neighbour so I will be on the property of my neighbour and tell you about our lives in the countryside and show you the spectacular discovery made a century ago in my (neighbour's) "backyard". Intrigued? See you there!
Patrizia’s our archaeologist-turned-tour guide, who’s had so much fun guiding visitors around the green heart of Italy. Perugia's always ready to throw a surprise. Although the city's not very famous, it doesn't shy away from entertaining its visitors with its stories and breathtaking views. "Perugia during the Umbria Jazz festival is magical! Every day at noon, a New Orleans band marches up and down the main street to get people to dance and follow them to the different free concert venues. Lovely music, and magical atmosphere through the night!" she says. On her tours, you might catch a smatter of different languages - she's a polyglot who speaks 5 languages. "A funny incident was that on a very busy day, I was halfway through my tour in Perugia before it hit me that I was doing it in the wrong language and nobody had dared to interrupt me!" she laughs. “I always try to convey some typical Italian word or proverb ready to be used immediately. Normally by the end of the tour, everyone remembers it and who knows...continues to use it at home!” Her goal as a professional guide is still to surprise the visitors. She almost stumbled into the exciting space of guiding visitors around her city. When she was working as an archaeologist on excavation sites and museums, she enjoyed showing Perugia's beautiful landscape. "And then I got the chance to accompany groups throughout Europe, and decided being a guide was the profession where I could combine my different interests: history, languages and meeting people from all over the world," she quips. As Marcel Proust said: you don't always have to travel to new destinations but you have to look at them with new eyes.

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Perugia with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.
The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Perugia. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.
The majority of your tip goes directly to support the guide's hard work, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.

Unexpectedly one of Patrizia’s best tours for me, with some very stiff competition. No spoilers :)

I always like touring with Patrizia. The Etruscan tour was very interesting....marred only by the fact that either the voice was muddled or the picture was jerky or fuzzy....I had to refresh 16 times. No reflection on the tour guide as I will always go on her tours.
