About the tour

Country populated by more than 90% of Muslims, Senegal celebrates like the Islamic huma the annual festival of Eid el Kebir or commemoration of the sacrifice of Abraham. I invite you to a walk in the event through 3 aspects: the festive clothing of the men on the way of the ritual prayer, the big family meal and the festive parade of the children and the women in the afternoon

Alioune and his community threw open their doors of hospitality. It was a great insight to how the preparations of Eid al-Adha, the Muslim Festival of the Sacrifice take place. Family life just went on as Alioune strolled around with tourists in tow. Several times the camera looked into the cooking pot - specially prepared lamb for the celebration feast. There was great hospitality from everyone, especially curious children. A fabulous, warm welcome into the homes of may families.
