Dragon Boat Festival: The annual Dragon Boat Festival is a special time of year throughout China, and you are invited to join us in Longshen Zhuang and Yao Autonomous Region as our guide Yvonne shares this celebration with special traditional activities. The Dragon Boat Festival is one of three major national holidays in China and happens on June 14th and 15th this year, which follows the Fifth day of the Fifth Month on the Chinese Lunar Calendar. The festival includes a wide range of traditional festival activities such as wooden boat racing, making special food, wearing Perfume Pouches, hanging Chinese mugwort and calamus on doors. Most incredible is that each Minority Group has their own tradition to celebrate this festival. Tour Summary: When the rice turns slightly to a yellow color, the glutinous fish raised in the paddy fields also begin to get ready to be a delicious dish of fish. Catching fish in rice fields is a hidden mystery of all farming activities. To catch fish accurately in a muddy paddy field requires quick hands and quick eyes, as well as accurate judgment and strain. The life of the people in the country is plain, but full. Although they lack the unique taste of the city, they are always full of the original flavors of nature. For a simple farmer, only those who have planted seedlings and cut rice in the countryside will have indelible feelings of vegetation in his heart. Those rich and prosperous terraces have derived a rich and colorful rice culture. Please come to join our local guide in Guilin for the special experience during the festival. Note: The event time will be adjusted according to weather conditions and live TV broadcasts.
