About the tour

Hyacinths and daffodils are the first bulbs to flower in early spring and Mark takes you on a whistle stop tour to a number of fields to show you these flowers in all their glory. They are in full bloom and nearing the end of their growth cycle now so this is the time to make the most of them.  Mark has scouted a route and spoken to the farmers about access so join him on this one-day-only great view seeking adventure. You will also see how locals love their flower fields and also can't get enough of photographing them too.

Meet your local guide

Mark

Mark has been sharing places and stories about Amsterdam, his adopted home, for 10 years now and he is still smitten by the place! He absolutely loves distilling chunks of history into bite-sized bits of fun. The vibrancy of the city takes his breath away, and he loves finding odd little details to share. Live-streaming tours are an exciting adventure as it is possible to open places and areas that are not accessible on in-person tours!

Mark has been guiding since Dec 2011

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Amsterdam with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.

The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Amsterdam. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.

The majority of your tip goes directly to support the guide’s hard work, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.

The flowers were lovely. Even though Mark knew his stuff he seemed a bit giddy having his partner, Erik, with him.!
