Welcome to a cross-country virtual cycling tour! This episode of a countryside cycling tour series takes you to the so-called lake district of Komarom-Esztergom county. This, roughly 60 minutes long virtual experience will open you to a virtual door to the natural beauties of the Tatabanya basin which are still considered to be hidden treasures, mostly because both Oroszlany and Tatabanya - the two main cities of the area - are known as 'boring' mining towns. The saying goes, do not judge the book by its cover! This virtual cycling tour aims to introduce you to the beautiful countryside of the Tatabanya basin. The idea is that we meet at the outskirts of Oroszlany and cycle from there to Tatabanya, to the other mining town in the region. The cycling tour goes along the Altal brook, covering a distance of about 15km. To make sure that there are no boring moments during this cross country cycling tour, we pass through two villages, and we also pass by 3 lakes. Treat your eyes with the beauties of nature and let Adam introduce you to one of the overlooked areas of the Hungarian countryside!
Working as a tourist guide was not my first career choice, but it seems to be the right choice. For a while I followed a sort-of standard path: getting my bachelor, and my masters degree and started to work for a multinational company. Meanwhile my interest towards my hometown kept growing to the point that my friends convinced me to return to school and get my licence to become a tourist guide. As the saying goes: the rest is history. I have been in the business since 2011 and regardless of all the hardship, difficulties, uncertainty I still have passion for my profession. Which I hope will be obvious for you once you take a tour with me in Budapest, or in the Hungarian countryside. By joining a tour with me you will get two in one: a professional, licenced guide and an amateur urban photography enthusiast. Both are very handy when it comes to live, virtual tours. You can expect great angles, excellent postcard opportunities and a dry sense of humour during my tours as I strongly believe in entertaining while educating. Kind regards

Wonderful tours with Adam. How he kept cool in the mega heat and stay focused is amazing. Adam is a lovely fun guide full of wonderful anecdotes relating to the tour.

Adam is an excellent guide, whether in the city or like today in the Hungarian countryside his attention to detail is impeccable, linking information too about historical figures/buildings giving a continual story of Hungarian history. Temperature today was in the high 30’s but despite that Adam was able to give a very interesting, well researched, fact filled picturesque tour.

Refreshing cycle through the Hungarian countryside (although Adam was doing all the hard work!!) I did this tour a month ago and it was lovely to see the changes in the fields. Thank you, Adam: you are a star.
