The Malagasy cuisine is a delightful potpourri of Asian, African and European flavors. “Romazava Royal” is one of the national dishes that is unique to the big island. Usually served with vary (rice), the Romazava is a kind of stew made from zebu, pork, shrimps sautéed with ginger, garlic, tomato, onion and other typical spices. From Hery’s beautiful home in the countryside, we will introduce you the unique culinary products that make our country well known worldwide (vanilla, wild pepper, baie rose, cinnamon, chocolate…). Then you can enjoy with us this cooking session. For dessert, we will have fruit salad made from some fruits grown locally and picked from Hery’s garden. Get ready for a unique culinary experience!!
Hery and Rindra were both born in Madagascar. Hery loves travelling and is passionate about showing the beauty of his country to the world. He worked has been a freelance tour guide since 2007, then in 2017 along with his two colleagues, he created Hanorah Travel, a Tour Company specialized in Tailor Made holidays in Madagascar. Hery's best memories as a tour guide, is when taking the tourists to the remote areas, showing them unique & amazing landscapes and of course all the endemic species of fauna and flora in Madagascar. Rindra loves travelling, discovering new places, learning new cultures and meeting people. As her professional path, it was very logical for her to pursue a career in the tourism sector. Thus after a MSC degree in Tourism, Environment and Development at Oxford Brookes, she took over the role of Marketing Development Executive at Madagascar Explorer where she gathered a wealth of experience. Then in 2020, she joined Hanorah Travel as an associate where she can continue her dream to show people from all over the world the unique beauty of her wonderful country and its people.
