Join Ashley as he searches for crocs, sharks, crabs, and catfish at the newly reopened St Lucia Estuary Mouth and why it is so important for the town as well as the local flora, and fauna. This tour will give you the holiday vibe as the backdrop is miles of golden sand, sea, and sun! (Animal sightings are not guaranteed as they sometimes get a little camera shy but there is plenty to see along the way!)
What Ashley doesn't know about life in the South African bush isn't worth knowing! With academic, vocational, and practical qualifications he has a wealth of knowledge and personal experiences that he loves to share. Spending time out and about in the bush means everyday is different! The thrill being, you never know what you will encounter or discover until you come across it, be it hippos, zebra, dung beetles or a rare plant species or an unusual eel. Home for Ashley is a small coastal town, St Lucia, that is uniquely situated within a UNESCO World Heritage Site - the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, on the north-eastern coast of South Africa. It is a haven for wildlife, marine life and unique flora and small fauna. With a focus on the wildlife, all Ashley's tour offer an insight into all creatures, great and small, and you will be surprised how interesting the bushveld can actually be! Join Ashley on a tour, away from the hustle and bustle of urban life, to explore the best that Mother Nature has to offer. Ashley has been guiding since Jun 2010

Another great tour with Ashley, lots if info about the history & environment of the delta. The sharks, crabs & catfish were hiding; but we saw hippos, some great birds & just missed a whale!

The estuary is always so peaceful. I live by the coast but there are luckily no crocodiles, just lots and lots of seabirds. Love Ash’s tours.
