RECIPE : Idobi leSwayi Ingredients Dried meat/ biltong Crushed roasted peanuts Water This dish was prepared in occasions especially where there is a grandmother who has intention of uniting her grand children through teachings. It was considered as a spirit lifting dish and a sign that the family has kind of economic satisfaction.Peanuts and meat were considered as prestigious foods . If the meat was game meat soon after eating the masculine stories of courageous hunting were told to motivate the you man. For the girls the major story will be on the peanuts reflecting that a woman crushes nuts , whilst waiting for the men who went to hunt with faith that they will bring meat and they combine resources.

A demo from chef Simba on how to cook over flames ... biltong in a tomato and onion sauce with stir fried kale/tomato and sorghum. Wonderful to meet Simba and Lynettes Mum and to her lots of info from Lynette on their food, where it comes from and how they cook.
