About the tour

"Selsko meso" or "Village meat" is one of the most popular Macedonian dishes. This dish was, and still is prepared in Macedonian families, for a special occasion, like religious holidays, anniversaries, and similar important moments for the family. INGREDIENTS: - 1large onion - 2 medium-size carrots - 1 egg - 250gr pork meat - 250gr beef meet - 250gr ground meat - 300 mushrooms - white flour - oil (sunflower or olive) - spices (salt, red pepper, black pepper, Vegeta, dry parsley, basil, oregano) INSTRUCTIONS: STEP1: chop the onion in slices and the carrots in small circles and cooked them together on oil and a little bit of weather, until they soften. When softened add the mushrooms (cut in 2 or 4 pieces depending of the size), and add oregano, basil, and salt. Fry together for few minutes. STEP2: cut the meat into small bite-sized pieces and in a separate pan, fry it together just until they get brown. Add parsley (dry or fresh), black pepper, and Vegeta into the meat while frying. STEP3: mix the ground meat together with one egg, 2 tbsp white flour and 2 tbsp cooking oil. From the mixture make small meatballs. Fry the meatball until they get brown. STEP4: when everything is ready, put the vegetable mix into a casserole, over that put the meat, and mix it. Over the vegetable and meat mix ley down the meatball. STEP5: cover the casserole with aluminium foil and cook in preheated oven at 250 degrees Celsius, for around 1 hour, or until the casserole is ready. STEP6: if you like (not shown during the cooking class) 10-15minutes before it's ready, remove the aluminium foil, and cover the meat with shredded yellow cheese. STEP7: serve with fresh seasonal salad and bread. BON APPETITE

Oh my goodness. This tour has been the most enjoyable cooking tour. Zoran & his wife, Elisabetta, are just too cute. His jokes & her kitchen magic leaves you wanting to sit down & join them for the meal, drink & laugh for hours, as we do in Europe. I look forward to doing more cooking tours.

Zoran and his wife are such a cute couple. He’s funny so watching them you get comedy and a recipe too so what’s not to like? This recipe is easy to make so I will make this for my family. I couldn’t stay for the salad because I had an appointment so had to leave. Keep the recipes coming Zoran love you and your wife the “wizard”. Sorry I forgot her name
