About the tour

You will be taken to the Civic neighborhood of Santiago, Chile. Where  Government Palace and Ministries are located, meaningful historical moments will be presented, such as the Coup d´état. On this tour we will be visiting part of downtown Santiago, the main avenue and the civic center of the city. You'll learn all about relevant political, social circumstances and important cultural events that take place in Chile.

Meet Myriam Carrasco

Myriam Carrasco

Myriam is 100% Chilean born and raised and proud about it. She has been working in tourism for more than 20 years, as a local tour guide in Santiago for more than 13 and as a trip leader guiding groups through Argentina and Chile for 5 years. She is passionate about her job, her country and its traditions and love to share all that she knows with people around the globe. She is honored to have the opportunity to introduce her homeland to you, sharing her knowledge its history, wine, people and culture but of course with a personal touch, fun details, incredible stories and juicy facts to make it more appealing, attractive and fun!

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Santiago with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.

The tour will last about 30 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Santiago. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.

The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.

Beautiful Artwork and Stunning Buildings. Myriam did a great job presenting both. I was surprised to see the "Flatiron" building in Santiago, especially since doing the Flatiron tour in New York with Aaron and Patrick and seeing the same design. I've learned a few things about Santiago today. Thanks for the information and for showing us around. The only comment I have is that some questions in the chat were left unanswered through the tour and there was no time in the end for questions. It'd be great if you could stay a little bit longer to read our thank-yous and answer any lingering questions.
