About the tour

Blessed by a mild climate, a safe harbor and amazing seafood, Cascais is located west of the capital of Portugal, Lisbon. Even if inhabited in since Roman times, it is nowadays known for having been a summer destination for our kings in the late 19th century, and place of refuge during the II World War. During our walk we will be able to see the coast, the houses built by the elites in the past 150 years, the fishing harbor and the cobbled streets of the town. Join me on this beautiful and relaxing walk, filled with both history and tips on how to use your time here when you visit our beautiful country.

Meet Ines

Born and raised in Lisbon, I have very fond memories of my childhood and adult life here. I became a national licensed guide at the age of 22, after a degree in Tourist Guiding. I have had the chance to meet wonderful people from all over the world, and I was lucky to be able to travel abroad several times. I also worked as a tour manager mostly in Europe, and decided to settle down in my home city in 2017, becoming a full time local guide in Lisbon and surroundings, so I could learn even more about it and share it with you! I consider myself a storyteller that likes to weave the connections between history, people, heritage, nature and food. I am looking forward to welcoming here, whether virtually or in person! If you are coming to Lisbon soon, contact me for information on my private walking and minivan tours. Cheers!

What a wonderful trip with a wonderful tour guide. Thank you Ines. My family is from Cascais and we've been back many times over the years. It was nice to learn the history of the area. It was so nice of you to mention my grandpa who built the top floor of hotel Baia. It's so amazing to be on a live tour and have the interaction with your guide. I can't wait to return.
