About the tour

Banff National Park has some of the most stunning landscapes in the world and is well known for its turquoise lakes, jagged mountain peaks and glaciers. It is a very popular destination, and the town can get crowded during summertime. On this tour, I will take you to the secluded and peaceful grounds of Cascade Gardens, a hidden gem just a minute-walking distance from downtown Banff. Terraced into the hillside with pathways and rock steps, I'll take you through trees and flower beds to the greatest spot where you can snap the iconic postcard of the town with the majestic Cascade Mountain towering at the end of it. A great tour for your Heygo photo albums!

Meet Pamela

Pamela’s passion for the natural world was honed by her work at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, where countless field trips informed her expertise of birds, animals, insects, frogs, geology, plants, and trees. Since moving to Canada, Pamela has immersed herself in a totally different environment, but one she’s no less passionate about. When not outdoors, her nose is typically in a book, learning more about the world beyond her incredible backyard. Which is exactly what she provides for others on her tours; a deep knowledge of a place like few others on earth, letting Heygoers like you understand and appreciate Banff the way she does.

Pamela was super in stopping & setting up angles for "postcard" shots. Unfortunate frost damage to gardens

Overall I enjoyed the tour, though there were times I thought it was a bit rushed when I wanted to get a postcard. I look forward to future tours with Pamela

Wonderful tour with a truly professional tour guide. Just loved how she integrated bits of her South African heritage into her narrative. Thank you Pamela! Just love your style!

One of my favorite aspects of Heygo tours is the ability to take postcards. Pamela is a little too fast on the camera. I would have preferred a few less dying flowers, and more time on the beautiful vistas! These were beautiful gardens!
