About the tour

The legacy of Bragas bishops goes back to the year of 45 D.C. and that helped giving Braga the nickname of the Portuguese Rome. Either for the number of churches in the city, its grandiosity, religiosity or traditions. Many times "competing" with Santiago of Compostela. On this tour you'll be able to learn about the ancient but also experience the modern and the daily life of Braga, the upscale city of the north. We'll start in Portugal's first Cathedral, continue through the shopping streets, pass by the colourful Santa Bárbara gardens and finish in Bragas City Centre - Praça da República. Come explore with me the city voted 2021 Europe's best destination.

Meet Claudia Macedo

Claudia Macedo

Claudia was born in Porto and in love with it ever since. Because she was raised up there she knows Porto's streets as the palm of her hand. In 2003 Claudia finished her degree in tour guiding and got her licence that same year. She has a short masters in wine and loves to try and discover new Portuguese wine always (of course!) along with the unique local gastronomy. Come and join her walking up and down the streets of steep Porto and be mesmerized by its beauty.
