About the tour

Pepus is passionate about food and loves cooking and eating. Join him as he takes us to discover the food variety, display and amazing colors of the Boqueria Food Market… often called the Best Food Market in the World! We will learn what is meant by a “Mediterranean diet” and what exactly “tapas” are. See Olive oil, Jamón, chorizo, manchego cheese, razor-clams, olives, anchovies, Spanish omelet, exotic fruit, saffron, spices and nuts… Pepus will show us where he buys his food and in what dining places of the market, the vendors would snack or eat their lunch. Join Pepus on this extraordinary gourmet foodie experience that you will not forget! Disclaimer: Spain is not a vegetarian country; therefore, this trip may not be suitable if you are vegetarian/vegan or feel sensitive about butchers, poultry, entrails, offal, etc.

Meet Pepus in Barcelona

Pepus in Barcelona

Josep (known as Pepus) was born and raised in Barcelona and has over 25 years of experience guiding thousands of travelers through the city and Antoni Gaudí's incredible UNESCO World Heritage sites in particular. From foreign dignitaries to celebrities—even Neil Armstrong—there's no one on earth who can show you BCN quite like Pepus. With a level of access to the city few else have, bucket list destinations like the Sagrada Familia and Park Güell are not only specialties of Pepus, you'll never have to wait in line when you explore them together. Pepus also prides himself on tailoring his tours to the interests of his guests, and with a deep passion for photography, he's always sure to set you up for the best postcards possible once you're there. So see why Barcelona is the global travel mecca it's become by visiting it like never before: through Pepus's eyes, again and again, all on Heygo.

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Barcelona with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.

The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Barcelona. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.

The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.

would love to have actually been at the market with you, I'm sure your suggestions for snacks would have been tasty

Pleasant tour. Unfortunately, several stalls were closed as it was too late in the day. Consider delivering this tour earlier when the market is fully functioning and also talk to sellers about their produce to make it a vibrant tour for us.
