About the tour

The second part of the tour focuses on the construction of Titanic in Belfast, you will get up close to the iconic Titanic Belfast Visitor attraction and the Administration building and Drawing Offices of Harland & Wolff the builders of Titanic and the Olympic class of ships. As we walk around the Titanic visitor attraction I will tell you about some of the cutting edge infrastructure needed to build Titanic and I stand on the bow point outline of the great ship and tell the story of the launch on the 31st May 1911. We then walk down onto the original concrete slipway No 3 and walk the 882 feet of the ship until we reach the end of Slipway No 3 where Titanic slipped into the Victoria Channel of the River Lagan watched by an ecstatic crowd of about 100k people. The story of Titanic still enthralls people all over the world, join me on my tour as we walk in the footsteps of a legend.

This was a wonderfully done tour into some harrowing history. The details (like the dimensions of the ship, lifeboats and stacks) were extremely well presented. Donal was a caring and warm guide who answered questions patiently. Looking forward to more tours with him!
