Join me as I visit my friends at the West of England Falconry, a small non-for-profit falconry located in a charming village on the outskirts of Bath. I will introduce you to one of their falconers who will take us to their undercover flying area to meet some of their owls. The falconer will tell us all that there is to know about these beautiful birds and will answer any questions you may have. During the tour you will get to see the owls fly and feed. This a great tour for children and adults alike! The West of England Falconry is involved in rescuing and rehabilitating birds of prey and educating the public on these beautiful birds. In "normal" times this is one of my favourites places to bring guests on a tour so that they can have the unique experience of getting up close to these magnificent creatures and learn how to fly them. Now you will get to experience this for yourself albeit virtually! To support the falconry with their valuable work I will be sharing my portion of the tips from this tour with them. I hope you can join us!
Having enjoyed many adventures travelling around the world, from the jungles of the Amazon to the Himalayas of Nepal, today Daniel can be found much closer to home where he enjoys showing visitors around the beautiful city of Bath and the local area. Born and raised in Bath Daniel likes to bring the city's historic buildings to life with fascinating stories about their past and the city's famous residents. He claims not to have a West Country accent but apparently a couple pints of cider can soon change that! Daniel is the founder and owner of the award-winning Bath Insider Tours which provides private tours in Bath and the West Country.

Daniel's tour of of the falcon sanctuary was superb. Daniel and the Falconer made a superb duo presenting the owls to the viewers. I learned a great deal. I especially appreciated that Daniel will be sharing his portion of the tips with the falcon and birds of prey sanctuary. Bravo for a splendid and special tour.

This is the second time I’ve taken this tour. I enjoyed it just as much as the first one. The owls are the stars but the supporting cast are not bad either 😀More, please.
