Join me as I visit my friends at the West of England Falconry, a non-for-profit falconry based in a small village on the outskirts of Bath. In addition to rescuing and rehabilitating birds of prey, the falconry is involved in educating the public on these beautiful birds and on the ancient art of falconry. They offer experiences which give people the unique opportunity to fly a hawk or an owl - a truly magical experience and one of my favourite experiences for guests staying in Bath! During the tour you will meet some of their magnificent birds and watch my friends demonstrate the ancient art of falconry as they fly a hawk in the surrounding countryside. The flying is subject to favourable weather conditions, but do not worry, if the weather is not right, we have a cunning plan! To support the falconry's valuable work I will be sharing my portion of the tips with them. BONUS: To maximise the time spent with the birds I will be starting the tour at the falconry - however if you are free to join me 10 minutes before the start time I will be walking through the village, Newton St Loe, which some guests may like to see.
Having enjoyed many adventures travelling around the world, from the jungles of the Amazon to the Himalayas of Nepal, today Daniel can be found much closer to home where he enjoys showing visitors around the beautiful city of Bath and the local area. Born and raised in Bath Daniel likes to bring the city's historic buildings to life with fascinating stories about their past and the city's famous residents. He claims not to have a West Country accent but apparently a couple pints of cider can soon change that! Daniel is the founder and owner of the award-winning Bath Insider Tours which provides private tours in Bath and the West Country.

I loved the content. The people in the video were great. I loved to see the falcon up close and was happy I could ask some questions. I highly recommend!

Enjoyable tour with knowledgeable guides. Only suggestion is to get a mike for the guide at the falconry centre. She was excellent but quite difficult to hear which took away from the experience.
